We Had a Thoroughly Lovely Stay

We were thrilled to discover this attractive cottage in a quiet village by the sea.
The renovation has been carried out to a very high standard and is comfortable with many amenities.
The kitchen is modern and very well equipped and being coffee drinkers we were pleased to discover a plethora of coffee makers. There is a full sized dishwasher which was a pleasant surprise.
The bathroom is beautiful and has lovely fittings.
Although we were only there for a short time we did enjoy catching up with British TV.
We had one of the best French meals we have ever had just a few minutes walk from the house. It overlooked the fishing port and was frequented by locals which is always a good sign. The portions were enormous though! The owners were extremely friendly and very accommodating so the whole evening was very enjoyable.
There is a wonderful bakery in the main street and they sold the most delicious fresh bread and cakes. They open very early in the morning so it’s lovely to have a 5 minute stroll to collect items for breakfast.
A few yards further leads to a fish market where you can purchase the catch of the day.
Although our time was short we managed to visit a wonderful Monday market in Carentan. This was a great experience.
Also we found a large supermarket nearby called LeClerc, where we bought wine and gifts. There is a small supermarket near the house for general shopping.
We had a thoroughly lovely stay and look forward to returning.

This Place is Adorable!

This place is adorable. Wonderful location just across the street from the sea and a short walk to the harbor. Both bedrooms provided plenty of room for the three of us. The kitchen was great, very modern and roomy, and the living room provided the perfect space for relaxing in the evenings. Free parking across the street as well. The town itself is quiet (almost too quiet at times) but a few minutes drive to many of the D-Day sites.

Absolutely Wonderful!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful!!! Sue was very helpful and always responded quickly. The cottage was just as described, and was more than enough room for a family of four. The town was quaint and quiet. If you are going to tour the WWII sites you definitely will need a car. I would not hesitate to stay at the cottage again!!!
